Gait Analysis and Personal Training
Running is hard…so hard that up to 80% of runners are injured and have to modify or stop training in a given year.
And for good reason. Running puts 2-3x our body weight in force on our muscles and joints, not to mention the impact it has on our cardiovascular system. Plus, when we get fatigued our form starts to fall apart and the stress is even higher.
The good news is that running is a basic skill, almost anyone can do it. The bad news is that running is so basic that it’s possible to do it really well while being inefficient.
Thankfully, through gait analysis and re-training we can improve only the mobility and strength of our supporting musculature as well as the neuro-muscular pathways. This allows us to develop a more effective and efficient stride and keep training at a high level.
The approach Coach Griffin uses combines his experiences as a runner and triathlete with the knowledge gained from becoming a Certified Running Gait Analyst as well as his Yoga training to form a comprehensive approach for each individual athlete.
